Work is nearing completion on a commission for a vast tapestry for the University of Edinburgh's new Medical School. Alan Davie's design for tapestry, aptly named "To a Celtic Spirit", was woven at the Studios in Edinburgh. Known as 'The Morton Tapestry' it measures 5100mm x 3500mm (17 x 11.5 feet) and is one of the largest tapestries to have been woven in recent years.

Dovecot wove a tapestry for the Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland. The Society's Coat of Arms was transmuted into a tapestry measuring 1200mm x 1420mm (4 x 4.5 feet).

RHASS Coat of Arms tapestry

It depicts a saltire with a bull's head, garbs of corn and a ram's head. Above is a helmet "befitting the Society's degree" with a mantling upon which is set a half length figure of the Goddess Ceres. Below is the motto "Semper Armis nunc et Industria" and on the left a Highlander and on the right a Lowland husbandman both "habited of the early nineteenth Century".
